Executive Headteacher/Director of Schools – Emmet Bunting

Emmet is responsible for ensuring that schools within RESPECT deliver inspiring and high-quality education provision for all pupils. It is Emmet’s role to provide professional challenge and support to schools, guiding leaders to make evaluative decisions and identify priorities for improvement. As the Director of Schools, Emmet line managers Headteachers, supports them through Ofsted Inspections, and guides strategic development across the schools.

Emmet joined the RESPECT Collaboration of Schools after working in secondary and further education for 16 years. He began his career as a science teacher and progressed to various leadership positions across different contexts and phases. Additionally, he is a qualified SENDCO, has served as an SLE, and has undertaken various school improvement projects across the country. Emmet has successfully developed the curriculum offers across RESPECT, reflecting the collaboration’s ambition for pupils, and has transformed the internal landscape within our schools.
