Headteacher Bridge Street School – Libby Macpherson
Libby is Headteacher of Bridge Street School, she has been a teacher for over 25 years and her experience of senior leadership within the Respect schools, extends in excess of 10 years.
Libby is passionate about inclusion and believes all young people should be given the opportunity to succeed in their learning and achieve to their potential from an academic, social and emotional point of view. All education should prepare them for their next steps and subsequently, adult life.
Young people are unique and not all education approaches are suitable for all. It is up to educators to find that hook, that spark that ignites interest and ambition.
Libby is proud to lead the Bridge Street School, which supports all pupils not only to achieve their very best academically, but also to become self-aware, confident, and empathetic and the very best versions of themselves.
