Director of Attendance and Safeguarding
Jemma is responsible for providing strategic leadership on safeguarding and attendance matters, to promote the safety and welfare of the pupils and staff at the Respect Collaboration of schools. It Jemma’s role to develop high standards of safeguarding culture and compliance across our schools. As director of safeguarding and attendance, Jemma line manages the designated safeguarding leads and supports them to implement statutory.
Jemma has vast experience of working in the primary and secondary phases (including working in the specialist sector). Additionally Jemma has extensive knowledge of working with social care sector and youth justice teams. Jemma liaises closely with directors, headteachers and DSL’s to consider the strategic emerging needs of schools and local contexts, considering the operational responsibilities but also the future challenges we all may face.
