Director of Finance – Ian Wood
Ian joined the Trust on a temporary contract for a specific role of supporting the transition and process from maintained status to a Multi Academy Trust. Ian now has responsibility for the financial management, planning, and compliance of the Trust overseeing financial reporting, income recoupment, period-end processes, and audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices in financial governance.
Ian has previously occupied the post of Chief Financial Officer in an outstanding Special Academy Trust in Leicestershire and has successfully completed the accredited NGA Level 3 Certificate in Clerking of School and Academy Governing Boards. Ian also has 33 years of banking experience working in roles within Internal Audit, Field Compliance Inspection and Financial Crime.
