People and Culture Leader – Sharon Barker

Sharon is the Trust’s People and Culture Lead and Governance Professional, supporting colleagues across the organisation to feel valued, welcomed, and able to do their best work. She oversees the people‑focused elements of HR, including recruitment, induction, and colleague wellbeing, ensuring staff experience a positive and respectful working environment. Sharon is passionate about creating a culture where everyone feels supported and included, and she plays a key role in helping colleagues access the guidance, development, and clarity they need to thrive in their roles.

Alongside this, Sharon supports the smooth and effective running of governance across the Trust. She works closely with leaders, trustees, and local governors to ensure each layer of governance operates with clarity and confidence, following its Terms of Reference and fulfilling its responsibilities. As Company Secretary, Sharon helps keep communication clear, processes well‑organised, and decision‑making transparent, contributing to a well‑connected and well‑informed governance community across the Trust.
